Let’s take a second to understand Viewsonic’s new Android tablet before it gets crushed within the tsunami of coverage that a specific other tablet’s debut will get next week. And it’s got some things worth appreciating!
The VTablet 101 will come equipped with:
- Tegra T20 graphics
- a 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor
- an 8.9-inch (1024×800) display
- a front camera
- and 4GB of flash storage.
You’ll also be able to make phone calls from it with Bluetooth attached. It has Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity, though the latter only through an external modem, and may be available for $441 whenever it lands up released. Android tablets are bound to catch on right at some point, right?
The coverage may end up crushed but at that price point, it’s getting to still have a strong showing within the top of the day .
Considering that the Apple Tablet could even be twice (or quite twice) the price, I’d not ditch this small bugger if you are a touch more budget-conscious than most
