TRITON-TX51 is a SODIMM format system-on-module with Freescale’s i.MX515 multimedia processor featuring 800MHz ARM Cortex-A8 core with Neon VFP unit, graphics system with OpenGL ES 2.0, on-chip Ethernet, and dedicated video codecs, in addition to a wide range of connectivity. TRITON-TX51 has Windows CE 6.0 and Linux 3.0 Board Support Packages which ship with the StarterKit-5 development system. A Windows Embedded Compact 7 Board Support Package is also available.
The TRITON-TX51 features 128MB of high performance low-power mobile DDR and 128MB NAND Flash, as well as energy management, real-time clock and Ethernet and USB PHY provision alongside the i.MX51. The module takes just one 3.0 to 5.5v supply and offers up to 1A output current 1.8V and 3.3V power outputs for use in the baseboard.
The TRITON-TX51 is matched to a wide range of demanding tasks, including video and DSP processing – thanks to the Neon Vector Floating Point unit and dedicated video codecs providing D1 encode and 720p decode for MPEG-4/H264. Graphics applications are accelerated by the dedicated GPU, which offers OpenGL ES 2.0 support which enables specialist UI surroundings such as Microsoft Silverlight and Adobe Flash Lite to be utilized with excellent results.
